How it all Began
Terre Joie is a family-owned boutique winery from Lebanon, the world’s smallest and oldest wine producing country.
Terre Joie is a French statement meaning land of joy.
Land of joy, because despite all the wars and problems, the people of Lebanon enjoy life to the utmost; we want our wine to be part of that effort.
TJ, the initials we put forward, are the initials of our son, very supportive of this project, but who passed away in Seattle in a diving accident.
Without undue humbleness, we would like to be living proof that Lebanon’s great wines should become an unmissable wine category in the global wine market.
We strive to produce delightfully complex wines that elegantly express the unique terroir of the West Bekaa with zero compromise.
